The legendary Artform has released a remix E.P that is of epic proportions. This remix E.P is special because it contains remixes of label boss Jamie Anderson’s classic Tech House scorcher, Inova. Inova was released over 10 years ago on Jamie’s “When Machine Collides” E.P that also featured main room destroyers, Annihilator and D Funkt. Fast-forward to 2013 and Artform has repackaged Inova with the original 2003 version from Anderson and four incredible remixes.
First up we have Salvatore Freda’s version, which slows things down and creates a vast journey of sound. Freda uses a fat bass line that is guided with atmospheric sound effects with keys and strings met for the Ibiza sun. Next up is Rob Small’s remix which turns the original into a tech-tribal banger that will lift any club off its foundation.
Last but not least the U.K techno titan Roberto has handed in two remixes of detrimental proportions. Roberto’s Dub remix is one that has been in heavy rotation in the dark realms of the underground and its no surprise why. The dub remix is packed with a locomotive like bass line and dark rhythms straight from the caverns of the London underground. Roberto’s groove remix is not to be slept on at all, which has an eerie but beautiful atmosphere with organs and that classic vocal sample soaring through. Head over to Beatport and grab this E.P, because life’s too short for bad music!
