You will undoubtedly recognize his original tracks “Raindrops” and “Gangsta Walk”, and you probably were singing along and dancing before even realizing it. The LA based producer SNBRN who describes his sound as “sunset house”, brings in some nu disco/ deep house sounds on his new track “You Got Me” with Blu J and Cara Frew, leaving us with a funnkkkyy deep house that you’ll have on repeat.

Sitting inside Walt Disney Concert Hall last Saturday and watching the LA Philharmonic brought back so many wonderful memories. The beautiful music that surrounded me that night brought me to an extremely happy and relaxed state of mind, which is hard to come by living in the fast and furious life of Los Angeles. It reminded me of the nearly 20 years I played classical music and all of those great moments I had on stage. I was up there as a youngster in the Vermont Youth Orchestra playing Beethoven’s 5th symphony, and although we did not sound as good as they did this past Saturday evening, it was truly amazing to reminisce and to soak it in. This night reminded me of why I love music so much, and how important music is in my life.
The venue is absolutely breathtaking and is set up in a really unique fashion. The stage is almost strategically set up in the center of the hall with seating on all 360 degrees around it including some birds eye view seating above. At first, I was skeptical of not being dead center on the ground level, but then I was happy to be seated slightly above ground so when different sections of the orchestra were playing, my eyes would scan over and watch that section. It was a really cool experience to be able to pinpoint and to see all of the different sections in the orchestra separately, and then to also see them play harmoniously together.
The orchestra was very sharp, very powerful, very delicate, and very impressive. I loved re-living the iconic Beethoven’s 5th symphony and I was very pleased and honored to be able to witness Shostakovich’s 5th symphony. It was a very strong combination.
We had a truly beautiful night of music at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and we want to send a big thank you to the Los Angeles Philharmonic for having us out for the evening. We really hope to be able to come next year and continue to work together!
We are really excited to see Le Youth at Avalon Hollywood this Friday Night. It’s another wonderful musical weekend here at SBB headquarters. The Him, Bender & Spyk3 will be spinning some fire as well!
Le Youth started his new label Homewerk back in September and has since released two singles on it – ‘Me Without You’ and ‘If You’re Leaving’. The label was started so he could have unrestrained creative output, not hindered by a major label.
He’s also got a brand new track out this Friday, check out the preview here!
I am not the biggest rap fan, but I actually really enjoyed 6LACK‘s breakout track “PRBLMS” that gained a lot of recognition last year. OWSLA’s Mark Johns puts her own spin on it with producer Judge and it is a dope female rendition.
From the 19th and 20th centuries come two fifth symphonies perfectly suited to display orchestral muscle at its most powerful and musical drama at its most compelling.
Jaap van Zweden, recently announced as the successor to Alan Gilbert as Music Director of the New York Philharmonic, leads this program of iconic symphonies, beginning with a work that has not only aced the test of time, but has come to define the very essence of a symphony. Beethoven’s work is so driven and unrelenting that it projects a force virtually unheard in music before his time.
Shostakovich’s Fifth shares similar qualities, but with a far more complex political back story. Its rousing finale, which inevitably elicits roars of approval, can be viewed as the composer’s scathing, sarcastic attack on his persecutors, disguised as a stirring celebration of the proletariat. Since its premiere, music lovers of all political stripes have embraced its power and expressiveness.
Please join us at : WALT DISNEY CONCERT HALL, 111 SOUTH GRAND AVENUE, LOS ANGELES, CA @ 8pm!
This week’s #BumpDay banger is the anthem of those love/hate relationships that we’ve all experienced in our lives. Swedish duo Axwell Λ Ingrosso deliver this vocal and percussion heavy track, highlighting their stellar production techniques with the help of Kid Ink. It’s always really high highs with this unstoppable pair, who kick off their upcoming world tour on March 17th in Brooklyn, NY.
We can’t stop bumping this catchy track and couldn’t be more excited to hear it spun live next month. There’s no doubt that we’ll be hearing a lot of this track during the upcoming festival season too. From the bottom of our hearts, we LOVE YOU, bumpers!

I think this is going to be the show of the week in Miami. We have Hot Since 82, Eats Everything, GUTI, Nick Curly, La Fleur, and one of my favorites Doc Martin. Serving as an official Miami Music Week concert venue, Heart Nightclub has curated a towering, multi-zone program of events for the week of March 22-26. Representing North America’s largest convention in regards to business, music, and technology within the electronic industry, Heart has opened its lush terrace, spacious main room, and glowing basement all at once.
This March Heart Nightclub secures a month-long residency with techno’s leading emissary, Marco Carola, and his renowned imprint, Music On. Emerging from Southern Italy in the early 90s, Carola quickly became a vital component in establishing the electronic scene. After introducing the rest of the world to Italy’s distinct sound, Carola sought to create a platform where musical innovation could flourish. Hence, Music On was born. Acting as both a record label and event facilitator, all of Music On’s endeavours converge at one single cusp: quality music. Now, Heart zealously hands over four weekends to Carola and his Music On special guests.
