Over the past couple of years the name Joseph Capriati has been associated with powerhouse Techno sets and adrenalin filled productions. Capriati has released his heart racing brand of Techno on labels such as Drumcode, CLR, and Analytictrail. Joseph’s music flexes its Italian muscle but also displays the emotion and creativity that is needed to orchestrate a fine piece of Techno. When Capriati is playing live, his music is directed from the heart and motivated by the crowd’s energy. This formula has pushed Capriati into Techno stardom and has made him a must see act.
Joseph recently toured the United States and was received with wide open arms in every city he smashed. Capriati’s most notable time thus far was his performance at Brooklyn’s Output. What was special about this set is that Dance music’s Maestro and legend Danny Tenaglia opened the night. Tenaglia has long since showed his admiration for Capriati and his music and wanted him to have a proper Brooklyn experience with him opening the night. Via his Facebook account, Capriati expressed that his time spent With Danny T and with the city of New York was a dream come true. With a more than successful US tour and a legendary night in New York, Joseph Capriati is set to release two tracks from his upcoming album, Self Portrait, which will be released on Drumcode June 17th.
According to Joseph’s Soundcloud, the first track on the E.P is Awake, which is a tribute to Holland’s legendary Awakenings Festival and its fans. Awake is a melodic piece of Techno that creates an atmosphere with its soft keys that tell a story over a powerful rhythm. The second track, Fratello, is signature Capriati Techno with a driving bass and far out sound effects. Be on the lookout for this release via Drumcode on June 17th.
