After much speculation on the future of the 2011 Electric Daisy Carnival, Insomniac announced that they would be hosting the 15th annual EDC in Las Vegas  in lieu of the recent Los Angeles Rave law that led the owners of the LA Coliseum to say ‘no’ to the longstanding event.   As one of the top music festivals in the world and probably the largest in North America outside of Ultra Music Festival, Insomniac and EDC had to find a place to hold this huge event and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway proved to be the perfect place.

The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is in Clark County, Nevada, covers 1,200 acres including multiple race tracks. The Motor Speedway has enough room for roughly 142,000 people versus the 75,000 capacity at the Coliseum. This is the largest venue in EDC’s 15 year history which has included venues such as The National Orange Show Events Center in San Beernardino, Queen Mary Events Park in Long Beach, Lake Dolores Waterpark in Mark Lapro Barstow, Hansen Dam in Sylmar, and the International Agr-Center in Tulare.
