GAZZO knows how to kick up a song without overdoing it. While still capturing Billie Eilish‘s gentle vocals, he mixes in a soft build and a repetitive drop at just the right time, keeping the weight of Eilish’s lyrics while clearing a space to feel it on your own. A fun mix up from Billie’s lovely original “Ocean Eyes“.

Flow into your Tuesday with Autograf’‘s first single of 2017, “Nobody Knows” ft. WYNNE. The trio of artists – actual artists, since before the boys brought their talents to the turn table they were full time sculptors, painters, welders and street artists – became known for their remixes before releasing their first original tracks “Dream” and “Metaphysical“. The boys create a lot of their own artwork with their releases, and even have gone so far as making their own instruments and stage installations. Their goal is to transform the monotony of EDM today by adding visual elements with reactive live instruments connecting everything as one reacting brain. Sounds pretty damn cool if you ask me.
“Nobody Knows” is a dark, seductive track with faded vocals and tickling synthy sounds. Whether you’re in love or not today, you’ll be vibin all night to this one.
Another new release by Autograf this year has been their remix of Clean Bandit’s “Rockabye”, which has slower beats that feel more natural with these all-too-real lyrics HERE.
This EP was the soundtrack of my weekend. During morning yoga, during my all too crowded subway rides, and during my nightly rituals, Dreamer’s Delight successfully enabled me to stop my thoughts from racing and focus on myself, in the now. Isn’t that the whole goal of meditation? Isn’t meditation supposed to be the best thing for the soul? I won’t tell you that Dreamer’s Delight is the best thing for your soul, but I will confidently say I felt quite refreshed after a full play of his latest EP. Lucid Anatomy is the artist’s second EP released on Gramatik‘s label LOWTEMP. Reef Krafft started this Dreamer’s Delight project back in 2013 and has had no trouble setting himself apart from the influx of electronic artists all over today, and it only takes one listen to understand why.
As I looked into the artist more, I notice that his music’s effect is spot-on with his own words:
“The music that I’m working on is representa
Here’s a funky, more upbeat mix below, demonstrating Krafft’s ability to seamlessly vibe hip-hop with heavier hitting melodies:
I am a big fan of Jerry Folk. You’ve probably heard his Oh Wonder remix, but since that release a year ago he has been sticking to producing his own originals. Yet he just put out his remix of Billie Eilish’s “Six Feet Under” and it’s lovely. Similar to the soft sounds of Daughter, the melody is insanely calming while Billie’s voice seduces your soul.
Bump this one after a long day to release and refresh.
I have returned from my SBB hiatus to bring you the first single off Jai Wolf‘s debut EP, Kindred Spirits. I was already looking forward to Kindred Spirits as I have been waiting for some original tracks from the artist since he was calling himself No Pets Allowed back in 2014. Hearing “Like It’s Over” ft. MNDR exponentially increased my excitement. You get upbeat indie-electronic beats that almost distract you from the sad lyrics clearly trying to make the most of a break up. It gives me the same feels that M83’s old “Wait” does (but with way more build) in the way it makes you want to drive through some nice foliage with the windows down and the wind in your face while you let your feelings blow away.
