I really like the original but this is just filthy. Xilent is a brilliant producer and this just proves it. I love how creative he gets with his remixes. You tend to hear a lot of the same sounds with dubstep and it gets really old — That being said, XILENT is supa refreshing.

I love stumbling upon sick new artists. I hadn’t heard of “The Two Friends” before but i’m really digging their creative sound. This song has a blend of house, Electronic and Dubstep that fit together like a glove. The sexy vocals from Katie doesn’t hurt either. Enjoy, this song is tight.

Here’s a pretty funny video of some “old people” reacting to Dubstep — it’s highly entertaining! I don’t think they could have picked a funnier cast. It makes me think of what music my kids will be subject to when their growing up, and if i’ll have a similar reaction.
P.S. The women in pink is my favorite haha…unreal. 5:25 – 5:36 is absolutely hysterical, I think I actually shed a tear from laughing so hard. I’m definitely using her moves at the next club/house party I go to.
On June 28th, 2012, Afrojack’s US JACKED Tour came to NYC and my fellow House heads and I all rushed over to Pacha to quench our Thursday thirst and get our fix of those hard-hitting tracks we crave. Quintino is a DJ that I have only started bumping over the last year, but after his EDC NY set I was absolutely hooked on this producer’s House mastermind. When he got behind the turntables on Thursday night, and began the “EPIC” countdown (his original mix with Sandro Silva)…I was more than ready to go crazyyyy on the dance floor.
Transitioning into his bootleg of Calvin Harris’ “Let’s go” featuring Ne-Yo, Quintino got the crowd moving right off the bat. He continued to bring the house down with bangers like Tiesto’s “Maximal Crazy”, his original track “Kinky Denise” with Moti, his original track with Afrojack “Selecta“, Nero’s “Crush On You”, and his edgy new bootleg “Aerodynamic Be Strong” – Daft Punk vs. Elite Force vs. The Loops. NY was Quintino’s last performance of the JACKED tour, and he certainly went out with a bang. His sound is playful, unique and rebellious, fitting in perfectly with the JACKED tour’s hard house vibe. We look forward to raging with him again in the future…perhaps catching him next time in his stomping grounds of Amsterdam, where he reigns as House king.
When Quintino left the stage, Afrojack strolled up to the decks looking fly with his hoodie up and a bottle of Grey Goose in hand. He took the mic and assured the crowd that tonight, he was not going to just hit a play button and wave around a flag for us. He also promised us that there would be no commercialized bullshit in this performance. What we got instead was one of the most incredible, dirty house sets I have ever witnessed.
I have seen every genre of EDM at Pacha NYC, from big names to unknown DJs, and I can tell you all with 100% certainty that this was definitely one of the most epic parties to have ever graced Pacha’s nightclub. I always enjoy Afrojack’s sets at festivals, but his energy in a nightclub setting is something totally different. With the recent debut of his ex-girlfriend Paris Hilton’s “DJ career” giving him some bad PR in the EDM community, I think DJ Afrojack put more thought and effort into this performance in New York City than he ever has before in his career…because he had a lot of respect to regain from his EDM family. DJ Afrojack gained all of it back and then some in my opinion, as he dove right into his new productions, which are by far the hardest, grittiest sounds we’ve ever heard from him. He was unveiling to us all his new material in a smooth, seamless progression that kept you moving and grooving at a steady pace. Afrojack’s new material is chalk full of drops that cause you to go absolutely ballistic on the dance floor, and Pacha NYC was wylling out to the max.
In the mix with his new material, Afrojack dropped a plethera of dope tracks such as the new Tiesto and Show Tech jam “Hell Yeah”, his classic “Take Over Control”, Tommy Trash’s remix of Steve Aoki’s “Ladi Dadi”, Tiesto and Show Tech’s new jam “Hell Yeah”, Eric Prydz’s edit “Allein Allein”, “Lionhearted vs. Somebody That I Used to Know“, Nari & Milani’s “Atom“, and his original mix of “Montreal” (one of our personal favorite moments of the night). Guest appearances from Nervo for the track “The Way We See the World”, and Thomas Gold at the end of his set, just added even more magic to this already awesome set from DJ Afrojack.
DJ R3hab took the stage at 3 am for some Chainsaw Madness… but unfortunately I was WOMPed out at that point and had to get home for some Z’s before work Friday morning. I heard nothing but stellar reviews about his electro house set that was mixed with some dubstep beats, rocking Pacha until 5 am for all those sleepless rave animals in our beloved NY EDM family. My expectations for the Jacked tour were transcended, and I want to thank all the Wall Recordings artists for the amazing party they threw for us on Thursday. Afrojack has one of the best stage presences in the game, and after hearing this set I am certain he has the musical talent and flexibility to stay fresh in this industry for a very long time.
If there was ever a “Must Download” track, this would be it. We’ve heard a couple mixes of Rise and Fall already, but this one by Keys N Krates is my favorite. It incorporates so many unique sounds from, Hip-Hop and Pop to Dubstep. One word. Filthy.

Dubstep masterminds Skrillex and Nero collab to create another banger called Game Over. Their last collaboration was Promises which was a huge hit last year. Honestly, I don’t think this track holds a match to promises but maybe you’ll think otherwise. Although It hasn’t been officially released yet, here it is!
