I’m in love with this new tune by Gaga. I think that she is an incredible performer and just as great vocally. Her appearance the other night on SNL’s season finally was sick. She performed “Edge of Glory” and absolutely killed it. With that being said, here are my two favorite remixes. The first mix I have for you is from my dude Funkagenda.

Porter Robinson goes in straight BEAST mode on this second remix I have for you. The first drop comes in at 2:32 and the second one is at 4:54.

Pretty Lights is the ish son! This is such a FRESH Dubstep remix to John Denver’s classic “Country Roads”. It’s has a really mellow/chill vibe to it that complements this re-work perfectly. As always, Pretty Lights never disappoints.

This is such a unique take on Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, I definitely wasn’t expecting this. Sound Remedy hits the nail right on the spot and assembles an eerie masterpiece.

An up and coming electropop duo just sent us their two new singles last night. Their name is Krewella and they’re made up of sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf, both of Chicago. Their music incorporates elements of electro and dubstep, and feature the dynamic vocals of Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf. This was by far one of the best submissions we got the other day and is definitely worth a listen. This song is perfect for the clubs.

Here at Stop Breathe Bump we like our beats fast and our bass down low. If you have a taste for the eclectic electronic & want to hear live euphoric, wobbly bass from a true dubstep genius, then Bassnectar’s BASS ISLAND at Governor’s Island NYC on August 13th is the perfect event for you. SBB is going to be all over this event, womping out in a serious way & we’d love to see you there. Bassnectar (real name Lorin Ashton) describes his music as “an amalgamation of every sound I’ve ever heard, mixed with ultra wicked basslines.” His tantalizing tempos blew our minds a few weeks back at DMB Caravan in Atlantic City (6/26/11) – most prevalently during his remix of Ellie Goulding’s “Lights” and his classic track “Bass Head”. Bassiclesticks were flying all over the place as the crowd moved in one shape ~ up and down ~ riding the wave of Ashton’s flow. I was left in complete awe at Bassnectar’s sound & the complete relief of stress that I experienced as a result of his performance. He reminded the crowd to “Let go so the beats can control”. Bassnectar literally hypnotizes you and then cleanses your spirit with his bass magic, bringing peace to your mind & soul the way meditation can. My personal favorite Bassnectar track is “Magical World” feat. Nelly Furtado – check it out below J The combination of Nelly’s unique alto/high falsetto voice and Lorin’s beastly beats is totally cosmic. Bassnectar has a new free download every week on his website www.bassnectar.net – so definitely take advantage of this glorious gift to your musical library. I recommend you jump on the site right away to snag his brand new remix GOGOL BORDELLO – IMMIDRANIADA available now! Stay Fresh.
All my love,
Gotta love waking up next to 2 empty Pabst Blue Ribbon Tall Boys the next morning on your Holiday Inn bedside table. Here’s a filthy Dubstep remix by Crizzly that’s helping me Rise N’ Grindddd!

“I’m steering away from aggressive tones, but at the same time trying to find different avenues to get the same crowd response that a big bass drop would get.”

Hailing from Kyrie and I’s stomping grounds of Burlington, Vermont come one of the dirtiest up and coming DJing duos in the game right now. Enter, Lazerdisk. These guys were just holding down the #1 spot on Hypem for their remix to Afrojack and Quintino’s “Selecta”. Pretty swag if you ask me.
Now they are back at it again with an unbelievable remix off of Slanted Black Records to Bonjour Hi!’s “La Pata Y El Pato”. (listen to the original mix and get more information on it here). This is a serious tune right here that you don’t want to miss! It has a lot of sound similarities to “Reptiles Theme” by Skrillex, but naturally Lazerdisk put their own sex infused spin on it. I think it’s safe to say that extremely catchy is an understatement. Stop Breathe N’ BUMP It!
