Dirty South Review, Ocean Club. Boston, June 26th 2011

Boston meets Miami. Ocean Club had a very Miami feel to it Sunday night, which prompted a night full of housey tunes. The beachy ambiance allowed Dragan (better known as Dirty South) to feel right at home & tear the decks up. Dirty South is primarily based out of Australia, but that hasn’t stopped him from his restless touring which includes North American cities like Vegas, New York, Orlando, Toronto and now Boston. After speaking to some of Dirty South’s people it was clear that this was one of the best showings that he has seen in the Boston area.

DJ Bamboora opened up for Dirty South and came out firing with tunes such as Koko Prutata and Awooga, which got the whole crowd fired up from the very start. It was an extremely clean transition as the up-beat house mashups continued to pump out of  the speakers. Everyone was overjoyed with the brilliant music as it kept coming!

It was personally my first time in Quincy’s Marina Bay area and it definitely won’t be my last. Ocean Club had to be one of the cleanest and well kept establishments I have been to in a long time. They are making an extreme push to make some noise by bringing in names like Robbie Rivera, Calvin Harris, and Avicii in the upcoming weeks. This tour is only getting more and more exciting for the city of Boston. Although it is no New York, it is bringing in huge names in a more friendly and delicate setting. So here at StopBreatheBump we are helping The Ocean Club spread the word to our wonderful city.

Calvin Harris will be performing next Sunday July 3rd, which will be a night loaded with firecrackling, sizzling jams. Cant wait to see the EDM scene once again, so come out and support what is to be a fantastic time. Here is a picture of me and my boy Ross from the DJ booth chilling with Dirty South!
